Co-transport Charter

To ensure a successful Cotransportage experience, everyone using the Shopopop platform agrees to follow the principles below.

What is co-transport?

A person takes advantage of a planned trip to pick up an order from a drive-through or a store, then delivers it to the recipient who has chosen to have it delivered by co-transport. Co-transport is based on a spirit of mutual support and sharing.

Charter framework

To make delivery more human, affordable and sustainable, Shopopop and its partner stores work together to connect two people during the purchase process and arrange a co-transport delivery.

In conjunction with a partner store, the platform enables someone who wants their shopping delivered by co-transport to connect with a person who will undertake the delivery as part of a journey they are already making.

Shopopop facilitates the exchange of information so that the co-transport delivery can be completed. The partner store then takes on the role of sender.

Within this framework, all users agree to the following principles.

Key principles

Time slots

Partner store: I make sure the order is ready by pickup time. I hand the order over to the co-transporter when they arrive, within the agreed pick-up window, and treat them the same way I would treat any of my customers.

Co-transporter: I respect both the pickup and delivery time slots to meet the recipient’s request.

Recipient: I am present at the delivery location at the time slot I have chosen for my delivery.

The information provided

Partner store: I ensure that I send Shopopop accurate information about my customer and their delivery request so that the delivery can proceed smoothly.

Co-transporter: I provide accurate information in my Shopopop app profile and create only one account in my own name.

Before committing to a delivery, I check all the details of the delivery (route, minimum recommended mode of transport, volume of the order, comments, presence of foodstuffs, floors, lift, etc.) because when I book a delivery I am committing to completing it for the recipient, without reservation, according to the information available in the app.

Recipient: Through my retailer, I provide complete, up-to-date and accurate information about my identity, my contact details (including details such floor and lift access, etc.), as well as the desired delivery time slot.

Protection of personal data

Partner store, co-transporter, recipient: I use the personal data obtained through Shopopop only to complete the delivery concerned. I ensure that I do not retain any personal data (name, postal address, phone number, email, etc.) once the delivery is complete and that I do not share it with third parties.

Courtesy, respect and mutual support

Partner store, co-transporter, cecipient: I am respectful, polite and courteous toward other Shopopop users. I refrain from any aggressive, discriminatory or inappropriate language or behaviour.
The co-transporter is not a worker: the store treats them like a customer, and the recipient views them as a neighbour doing a favour. At the time of delivery, the co-transporter hands the purchases to the recipient in person on the doorstep (to the door of the flat or house). In a spirit of solidarity, the co-transporter and the recipient may help each other according to their respective abilities.

No shows and late cancellations

No shows and late cancellations have an impact on all users. Users must give notice of any unavailability as soon as possible and no later than 1.5 hours before the end of the delivery time slot.

No shows

Co-transporter: A no show is the failure to arrive at the pickup point at the pickup time slot to collect the order.
Unexpected events can happen. In this case, I cancel the delivery as soon as I know I cannot complete it, and ideally no later than 1.5 hours before the end of the delivery time slot.

Recipient: I have undertaken to be present at the delivery location at the time slot I have chosen for my delivery. If something unexpected happens, I contact Shopopop support via the online chat available on the site, on my delivery tracking page or via the links at the bottom of the emails I receive in order to reschedule my delivery. I notify this change as soon as possible.

Late cancellations

Co-transporter and Recipient: I avoid last-minute cancellations whenever possible. A cancellation made less than 1.5 hours before the end of the delivery time slot is considered late and has a high impact.
In such cases, all co-transport users may be impacted. The store may be worried about its customer's order, the recipient may receive a delivery late, the co-transporter may be disappointed if the delivery it had planned to make is cancelled, or it may be necessary to find an alternative co-transporter to perform the delivery, and so on.

Care of delivered products

Partner store: I hand over the complete order intact to the co-transporter. If the co-transporter does not have a cool box or insulated bag when necessary, it is my responsibility to refuse to hand over the order.

Co-transporter: I understand that using a cool box or insulated bag helps maintain the recipient’s food safety. I look after the purchases as if they were my own. If I wish, I can take photos of the delivered order to show proof of delivery and the care taken with the products.

Journeys

Co-transporter:

  • I complete deliveries only on routes I already plan to take for my personal needs.
  • I have checked with my insurer that my liability insurance does not exclude non-professional co-transport deliveries. If my insurance does not cover this, I do not take the risk and do not carry out co-transport deliveries.
  • If I am carrying out co-transport with a vehicle: I have a valid driving licence, valid insurance, and I respect traffic laws
